How To Connect an iPhone Via Bluetooth to the Subaru STARLINK App

It’s easy to integrate your iPhone smartphone with your Subaru infotainment system to send or receive calls and messages and listen to music on your Beechhurst drives. Just follow these steps below:

Ensure your vehicle is parked in a safe spot with the parking brake engaged.
Shut off your engine and put it into accessories mode, or you can keep it running.
Go to the settings on the STARLINK infotainment screen.
Go to the “Phone” page and select “Add Device” or “Add Phone.” Make a note of the device name.
On your Apple device, go to the settings and select “Bluetooth.”
Select the device name for your vehicle and tap “Pair.”
Allow your device to sync.
On your infotainment screen, confirm the PIN sent to your phone and download your contacts.
Further settings, such as notification frequency and app permissions, can be altered by selecting the blue “i” next to the device name on your Apple device.

How To Connect an Android Via Bluetooth to the Subaru STARLINK App

You can seamlessly connect your Android smartphone with your Subaru infotainment system by taking the following steps:

Ensure your vehicle is parked in a safe spot with the parking brake engaged.
Shut off your engine and put it into accessories mode, or keep it running.
Go to the settings on the STARLINK infotainment screen.
Go to the “Phone” page and select “Add Device” or “Add Phone.” Make a note of the device name.
On your Android device, go to its settings. This can be found through the Apps screen or by swiping from the bottom of the touchscreen.
Select “Connected Devices” or “Connections,” and then tap “Bluetooth.”
Either select “Pair New Device” or look through the list of available devices for your vehicle.
Select your vehicle’s device name and tap “Pair.” Ensure “Allow access to your contacts and call history” is enabled.
Select “Yes” to the Message Access Request.
On your infotainment screen, confirm the PIN sent to your phone and download your contacts.
Additional settings can be enabled or adjusted by returning to your phone’s Bluetooth settings and selecting the gear icon next to your device’s name.

Connect Your Android via Android Auto™: Android Auto™ smartphone integration allows you to use many of the same applications and features as the STARLINK App. To connect via this handy integration tool for the first time, connect your Android device via USB to your vehicle and select “Agree” when the prompts appear. Once downloaded, you can access a quick start-up guide on using your Android device with the “Show Me How” button.
Connect Your iPhone via Apple CarPlay®: Apple CarPlay® smartphone integration allows you to use many of the same applications and features as the STARLINK App. To start using Apple CarPlay®, connect your iPhone through the USB port in your vehicle and hit “Agree” when prompted.
Connect Your Phone USB OR AUX: If you have an older phone that’s unsupported by Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™, or if you prefer to utilize the Subaru multimedia interface over these smartphone integration interface programs, you can easily connect your phone via a USB OR AUX cable, if such ports exist in your Subaru.
